Jeremy and his team are doing an excellent job in adding for the first time : Pace setters
I was one of those Pace setters

“Strides”; the running store where we picked up the bibs is well located easy to find and has a free parking lot near by.
The Staff’ shop is friendly and helpful ..
Chiptime and PUMA Technical shirts included in the price

Sunday
The Race starts @ 7:30 am at Glenmore Athletic Park
with a school 2 blocks away there is plenty of parking places if coming by car.
A non covered bag drop is provided … so you might want to leave you bags in the car if it’s rain

The half Marathon will cover the area around the reservoir
Fairly flat and rolling you can get a good amount of speed.
Km 13 you will have a bit of challenge if you don’t like uphills
and near the end, in order to cross the highway, there is a bridge climb but nothing dramatic

Water stations are there with sports drinks …
No solid provided only gels once around mid race
The park comes with Washrooms for emergency stops .

Finishing line is at the stadium.
Nice Medals, a bit small, are distributed to 1/2 Marathon Finishers as well as Hot Breakfast , Water and sport drink for every body

On a nice sunny morning that Stampede Road Race is a great workout a wonderful warn up for what comes after cause if you are passing through don’t forget to pay a visit to the Stampede Festival which goes on for 10 days

    Hello Jeremy,

Odd question, but I was wondering if you can forward this request to the gentleman who was the 1:55 pacer for the Stampede Road race please?

He took some photos of me during and after the race and I was hoping to get a copy of them as those are the only pictures I’d have of my personal best run. Also I wanted to thank him again for keeping me on track. I couldn’t have made my time if it wasn’t for him!

    I’d really appreciate it!

    Thank you so much,

Thank you SO much…for the pictures and the run. It’s pacers (and runners) like you that make races fantastic.

    Take care 🙂
