| Comments | • Registration : Just follow the site link, registration was easy and fast. So fast that I was the very first one to register • Lodging : Across the starting line, there is a camp site with nice bungalows, a bit pricey but fills up quickly. there are some others places in town ; We had our own small camp van. so we could shop around and had no worry about getting to Starting line early morning. • Expo and Pasta : There is no expo! Bib location is a running store. Had a Pasta party on Friday night with local runners and race director. Easy going, nice and friendly . • Race day : A beauty ! Very early morning before sunrise, all runners gather around starting line. The Marathon is an easy flat rolling Out and Back but in middle of Australia “Just around the corner” you find Ayers Rock. The Land is Magic ! • Finish line : Same as starting line … I love those races when you get to know everybody in a friendly atmosphere • Note: 5 out of 5 Of course you can organize this run all by yourself on the road or on the trails around . But you would be missing the Post-Marathon luncheon and the Rock Solid Trophy ! |
