Comments : | – Online Registration : Efficient and decently priced with early bird options, enabling you to select your free shuttle They have different boarding points across HK Organization wants to make sure that enough buses will be dispatched at the right place leaving no runner behind. After completing registration you receive in your mail box a confirmation with reference number that you just need to memorize to pick up your bib the morning of the race. It’s a runner for runner event so no frill – no expo ! You can register more than 1 runner at same time same payment; I have registered my wife as well. – Lodging : we choose Ibis North Point conveniently located in front of Airport bus terminal, harbour view, 5 mn walk to morning shuttle – Race day : about 45 mn drive to starting point Pick up’s tents are set up in the park everything goes in orderly manner, clear, easy. No proof of ID asked Bib, Tshirt , goofy bag with UBS key and steel trekking bottle You get yourself ready in a park . There are restroom facilities with shower and changing rooms for ladies if needed All drop off back are same and provided all kept in secure area but open sky which can be trouble in case of rain . – Route : ( 1/2 Marathon ) An undulating , out and back “scenic” route which I didn’t really enjoy due to heavy fog Enough drink stations located along the run Aid stations with Muscle balm but no vaseline ! – Finish line : Nice Tech dry shirt, medal, food , drinks all there as supposed at every great event Technically , there is a free shuttle back to subway ( but we took wrong bus and paid ) a nice way to discover a different part of HK. – Note : 4 toes out of 5 |
