• Expo :
We arrived early on the very first sunny day
all booths were neat and very much entertaining
All went fast: bib collection, TShirt, couple of Samples
• Race day :
Decided to go empty stomach, it has been one of my latest habit.
We moved on to the park under the Big Clock tower, found our corral and waited
even if near to hotel, we decided to use the bag drop facilities !
• Route :
Flat, absolutely flat! a perfect place for a PB .
2012 was Hot, in 2013 we had heavy shower during a couple of Kms
Beverages, gels, Sport drinks, Coke all handed to you by smiling volunteers
Japanese Marathons always impress me in terms of organization I have never been able to find them a match with the exception of Boston.
As Hokkaido was my Wife first official marathon allowing to complete her 7th continent Marathon Challenge
I stayed with her all along until arounf km 36 she decided to take off increasing her pace that i couldn’t follow
• Finish line :
Rain had stopped by the time we arrived.
We were welcomed by cheers and applauses.
