Hi I’m Miyuki
I’ve done a lot of runs and adventures in my life but never run anything longer than 42.2 km in my life.
Ahead of me is a big challenge !
Running around Penang Island in Malaysia – it is 84.5 total kilometers !
Twice as far as I have ever run! I need to do this in under 15 hours which is the cutoff.
The race is on 26 September 2015.
More importantly, this is my first – Fund Raising Run … [ Link to Donation ]
I will run for the kids in Nepal.
I am trying to raise as much as possible to support their well being through “Wide Open Vistas“ ,
My husband also raised funds for WOV when he completed the North Face 50km – Australia 2015.
Wide Open Vista is a tax exempt organization in the US and we know the co-founder
Seth Wolpin personally and we have a say in how the donations are used in Nepal.
This will be my longest run by far, but not my first run or adventure.
Since 2007, I have immersed myself in some great adventures, traveling non stop around the globe, becoming
the only known Japanese female runner to have run on 7 continents ; 7 road marathons all AIMS distance certified.
Other accomplishments:
– 23 road marathons all around the World.
– Trekked in Nepal:
• Gokyo Peak – 5360m: Oct.2013 without any Guide
• Thorong Pass – 5416m, 26 days Annapurna Circuit without any Guide nor Porter
– Pine Chile Circuit, the Canadian Rockies ,
– Traveled to Antarctica.
Please inspire me to keep going, and help children in Nepal through my first Fund Raising Run … [ Link to Donation ]
Thanks,
Miyuki
