After 10 days trip in Antarctica ,
We rented a flat with Free WIFI one month,
right in the middle of Ushuaia that peaceful little village with a bunch of B&B and apart hotels

• Expo :
A small room down the harbor was allocated for Bibs pick up. An other bigger for my first ever pasta party
where we were told about Summer/Winter time changing during night 🙂
Lucky me that I went.
• Race day :
Had not a great expectation out of that race, even if sponsored by Fila
Patagonia on your left , Antarctica on your right. What else do you need !
Early morning shuttle took us to National Park our starting line
we were supposed to reach it by boat but
a last minute change as always in Argentine
Challenging from the beginning but such a beauty …
a stretch all the way to the airport with a water station as basic as it can be
and back to the town, no many race marshals in sight . my wife directed the runners through it
The main village street leading competitors to one of the longest uphill i had to run ever.
Luis, a elementary school sport instructor and B&B owner passing just in front of his property gave it up for a cup of Mate.< The downhill that followed killed me and the raging traffic at the old fishing port sank all I had left in. The white finishing Arch in sight by the park worked as the Savior, the life support that you try desperately to reach before drowning. • Finish line : Gorgeous Medal, Unforgettable Memories Note : 5 out of 5 Toes - El Fin del Mundo - Ushuaia Marathon sadly has died. if I was given the opportunity, the choice to re-run a marathon it would be that ONE. Long Life to El Fin del Mundo !
